Jie is the founding partner of Cloud Angel Fund, a believer of Technology Determinism. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Physics, Jie practiced management and corporate strategy as Dir. of Product and Sales in China Netcom, then as a senior provincial GM. Later he became COO of a mobile payment and a digital media company. Jie alslo headed portfolio management of China Broadband Capital and Cloud Valley.
Jie holds B.S. in Physics from Nanjing University Ph.D. from University of Hannover in Germany. He loves reading, music and travel.
Shan started her career as an administration professional at a travel agency and then worked for five years in an IT company. Then she joined the newly founded Cloud Angel Fund, and has been responsible for general administration of the fund.
Shan graduated from Beijing International Studies University with English Literature major and Spanish minor. She is fascinated by Spanish history and culture, and has become a super fan of FC Barcelona.
Arthur's startup journey begins in New York University's entrepreneurship club, where he joined the NYC-based startup Vengo Labs as an early member. Back in China and out of his passion for innovation and investment, he joined Cloud Angel Fund to explore venture capital. His 7 years of overseas life, 4 years in startup and financial background give him a unique perspective of startups.
Arthur graduated from NYU Stern double major in Finance and Statistics. He has performed on the stage of the Lincoln Center Jazz Hall.
Edward’s passion for entrepreneurship generated from an MBA class, during which he conducted in-depth research on business Innovations. Through case studies, Edward deepened his understanding of startup business models. After graduation, Edward decided to join Cloud Angel Fund to apply his finance knowledge in tech-driven startups.
Edward has a diversified education background and he also studied at Cambridge, Yale, National Taiwan University and UC Berkeley as exchange student.
Xiyuan Zhang is a technology optimist. After obtaining her master degree, she joined a startup and became interested in technology and VC. Consequently, she became a journalist at 36Kr, the largest VC media in China, where she came into contact with many tech companies and developed knowledge of the innovations and business models.
Xiyuan Zhang has a master and bachelor degree in Materials Science from University of Rochester and Central South University in China. She loves to travel, read and play violin.
Motivated by his passion for technology, Kai resigned from the China Banking Regulatory Commission and helped to create Staro, a panoramic camera startup. Afterwards, he was in charge of new business development in a FinTech startup. His startup experience motivated him to help entrepreneurs.
Kai holds a bachelor degree in Information Management from Wuhan University and a master degree in Economics from Renmin University. He loves to read and travel, and once spent 15 days to complete the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal.
